Norwood has so much to offer. There are so many great clubs, organizations and groups to be a part of. There is truly something for everyone. If you are looking for a new music outlet, I have the group for you – the Norwood Community Orchestra!
The Norwood Community Orchestra is made up of many Norwood High School Orchestra alumni and Norwood residents. Currently, they are a strings only group and they meet and rehearse on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 6 PM – 8 PM at the Norwood Baptist Church (2037 Courtland Avenue). The group has had a few concerts and played at a few community events, including Norwood’s Christmas Town and the Norwood View Centennial Celebration. The group is only two years old having started in early 2015. I can tell you that they sounded great at Christmas Town. They helped put everyone in the field house in the Christmas Spirit!
