Have you ever wanted the opportunity to meet the men and women of the Norwood Police and Fire Departments? Have you ever wanted to see their equipment and vehicles or learn more about them? Well, this is your opportunity. The Norwood Police Department is making plans for their Annual 1st Responder’s Night to be held on Wednesday, July 19 at Waterworks Park (4700 Beech Street). The event will be held from 6 PM – 9 PM. The event is family friendly, FREE and always well attended!
The purpose of this event is to allow Norwood residents the opportunity to meet their police officers and fire fighters and learn about the things they do to keep our city safe. Parents and their children will also learn valuable, life-saving information and have a lot of fun. Kids even get the opportunity to check out the equipment and vehicles that our first responders use to keep us safe. They may even get the opportunity to sit in a police vehicle or fire truck! What a great way for kids to get to know law enforcement in a positive way.
