It’s not often that good news blows up my social media feed, but when it does I pay attention. Earlier in the summer, my social media feed was filled with posts and stories congratulating one Norwood athlete for being named “Athlete of the Year” by the Cincinnati Enquirer. Former teachers, friends and family were all congratulating a new Norwood graduate, Ollohjuwon Wellington. As I began to research his stats, I quickly knew he was more than deserving of this award. On behalf of The Norwood Star, I would like to congratulate Ollohjuwon Wellington for being named, “Division II Track Athlete of the Year” by the Cincinnati Enquirer. Wellington had an amazing senior year, running the 100 dash (finishing 1st at districts), 200 dash (finishing 1st at districts, 3rd at regionals and 6th at state) and the 800-meter relay (finishing 1st at districts, 1st at regionals and 5th at state).
