One of my favorite things about my high school career was playing in the orchestra. Like many students in the Norwood High School Orchestra, I began playing in elementary school. I had watched the orchestra play and knew I wanted to learn to play and be a part of great music. Better than that though, was the opportunities I was afforded through orchestra. We got to travel and compete in places like Toronto and Virginia Beach.
Those are memories that I will have forever.
Our High School Orchestra needs our help. Their instructor, Mrs. Allison Marshall, would like to take the orchestra on a trip to Nashville, TN, but they need our help to get there. Mrs. Marshall and her students have been fundraising to help cover the cost of the trip, but they are still a little short. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for many of these students. None have been to Nashville. It is a musician’s paradise.
