We Salute You – Joe Johnson II

This month, we salute Joe Johnson II from the Norwood High School Class of 2017. Joe graduated from Norwood earlier this year and enlisted in the United State Marine Corps.

In high school, Joe was an amazing athlete.  He played football all throughout high school and is especially proud of his senior year, where the team went 8-2.  He says, “Giving the younger players someone to look up to was a huge goal of mine, so I always played my heart out.”  He also thanks Coach McLain who helped him become one of the best and hardest working players on the team.  Joe also enjoyed history and science classes at Norwood.  He says that he enjoyed Mrs. Greene’s class.  They got along well, especially because her husband was a Navy SEAL, so the military connection was there.  He also enjoyed Mr. Robish’s class and says that he was a great teacher.
